Looking for a mentor to help you as you grow your wedding planning business? Listen as Debbie shares a few tips and suggestions for finding one.
When you’re looking for a mentor, keep in mind:
- You can have more than one mentor
- Be willing to listen…really listen.
- Be willing to take criticism
- Your mentor doesn’t have to be local. In fact, in some instances, you may get a better response from someone who is located across the country or even in another part of the world.
- Make sure you and your mentor’s personality ‘click’
- Discuss the issue of confidentiality when working with a mentor
- You may not need a mentor. Consider getting together with a group of advisers, instead.
- Be specific about the type of help you’re looking for.
